Fascia Style Orangery in Send

Fascia Style Orangery in Send / Ripley

Project Brief

The clients had an outdated conservatory that was cold, damp, and unusable for much of the year. In winter it was freezing, and in summer it became unbearably hot — used only for storage. They wanted to replace it with a beautiful, fully functional living space that could be enjoyed all year round.

Design & Construction

Surrey Orangery designed and built a full Building Regulations–compliant orangery, constructed to the same thermal and structural standards as the main house.
The build includes a cold-vented roof system, high-performance insulation, and a smart-glass roof lantern that regulates heat and light automatically throughout the seasons.
Externally, the orangery features matching brickwork, elegant fascia detailing, and high-quality aluminium doors and glazing for modern efficiency with classic character.

Interior Specification

Inside, the space was finished with integrated downlighting, multiple power and socket points, and a smooth, seamless transition from the main house flooring. Every design element was chosen to make the orangery feel like a natural extension of the home rather than an add-on.
Result
The transformation is remarkable — a bright, warm, and welcoming room ready for everyday use and entertaining.
The clients are thrilled with their new orangery and can’t wait for the furniture to arrive, just in time for the family Christmas celebrations.

Client Comment

“It’s completely changed how we use the house. The old conservatory was unusable, but now we have a proper living space that’s comfortable in every season.”
